Siegal was caught in the crossfire of a shooting early Sunday morning, February 22, on Ann Uccello Street near PeoplesBank Arena while waiting for an Uber to return home from an evening out with friends. Police say he was not believed to be the intended target of the gunfire. After sustaining critical injuries, he was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds on Tuesday evening.
A standout student and multi-sport athlete, Camden excelled both in the classroom and on the field. He earned Central Connecticut Conference All-Academic honors in both soccer and lacrosse, and was widely respected for his leadership, loyalty, and generous spirit.
