Michael Sokolowski Obituary CLEVELAND, OH — Michael John Sokolowski, a cherished member of the Cleveland community known for his warm personality and civic engagement, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026 at the age of 58, surrounded by family and friends.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Michael was a lifelong advocate for community service, often volunteering with local youth programs and neighborhood revitalization efforts. He was deeply involved with several area organizations and was known by many for his generosity, sense of humor, and unwavering kindness.
Michael worked for more than three decades in the manufacturing sector, where colleagues remember him as a dedicated worker and dependable mentor to younger staff. Outside of work, he was an avid supporter of Cleveland’s cultural scene, regularly attending performances at local theaters and cheering on the city’s sports teams.
A devoted husband and father, Michael is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Sokolowski, his daughter Anna, and his son James, as well as his siblings, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends whose lives he touched.
Family and friends will gather for a memorial service to celebrate Michael’s life on Saturday, March 6, 2026, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Cleveland, followed by interment at Knollwood Cemetery. The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to a local charity supporting youth programming in Michael’s honor.
