Teairka Brown Obituary MACON, GA — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that claimed the life of a 36-year-old woman Wednesday evening on Pio Nono Avenue.
According to authorities, the incident was reported to the Macon-Bibb County E-911 at approximately 7:24 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to the 1400 block of Pio Nono Avenue, where they discovered Teairka Brown, 36, unresponsive in the roadway.
Investigators say Brown had been struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the street. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities as the investigation continues.
Emergency medical personnel arrived and immediately began lifesaving efforts. Despite those attempts, Brown succumbed to her injuries. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley. Officials confirmed that her next of kin has been notified.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under active investigation. Authorities have not released additional details regarding potential charges or contributing factors.
