Susan May Obituary HARTFORD, CT — Susan Elaine May, age 54, of Hartford, Connecticut, passed away on February 25, 2026, as the result of a tragic accident. Beloved mother, sister, and friend, Susan’s sudden passing has deeply affected all who knew her.

Born on June 12, 1971, Susan was a lifelong resident of the Hartford area. Known for her generous heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering kindness, she spent her life caring for others — both within her family and throughout the community.

Susan worked for many years in healthcare administration, where colleagues remember her as dedicated, compassionate, and always ready to support others during difficult moments. She believed in service, integrity, and the power of listening — qualities that endeared her to patients, coworkers, and friends alike.

An active volunteer, Susan devoted countless hours to local outreach programs and community efforts, particularly those supporting families and children in need. Her enthusiasm for life and love for her community were hallmarks of her character.

Tragically, Susan was involved in a fatal accident on the evening of February 25. While driving on Kensington Avenue during inclement weather, her vehicle was struck when another car lost control.
